CLEAR Corporate Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant. You will work with CLEAR’s client, an Australian-based accounting firm that provides a great environment to build skills and confidence within its people.

Role

Your new role is to support our client’s local finance and delivering its back-office functions.

As an offshore Senior Accountant, your main roles are:

  • Analyze financial information
  • Prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities for the Firm’s clients
  • Assist with the management of junior staff and team

Responsibilities

  • Prepare clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed
  • Review junior staff work papers and ensure appropriate evidence is documented
  • Apply knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry
  • Share knowledge, best practices and industry market trends to actively increase the overall knowledge of the team
  • Communicate with direct manager on work flow matters
  • Ensure processing of information into the Firm’s systems has been properly recorded
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards
  • Identify, research and/or resolve all complex accounting issues
  • Analyze management accounting reports and provide advice to clients
  • Review income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships and trusts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • At least 5 years’ accounting experience
  • At least 3 years exposure in handling Australian accounts
  • Proficient with MS Office applications, particularly Excel
  • High level knowledge on Xero, QBO and or other accounting systems
  • Previous experience managing a team is a plus
